2019 Fall Registration

FALL REGISTRATION is now CLOSED for recreational players.

Team Formation is Monday, July 08, 2019;
boys starts at 6:30p,
girls starts at 8:00p.
All U9-U10 coaches need to be there if possible.

What is the Registration Process?
Follow the link above, create a family account in GotSoccer. Once into the family account, add the minors in the family. Once they have been added, you’ll see the registration link for the age group they qualify to be part of. Click, and finish your registration. One family account; however, each child will require a separate transaction to register.

Where is registration?
Registration is done online ONLY via the provided link above. Please note that some mobile phone users have had issues in the past using the link to register and may need to access a computer for registration. You will receive a confirmation email if your registration was complete and payment received.

How come I am not receiving information from the club? It’s a week before games start.
Please make sure your GotSoccer account for your player is current with contact information including cell phone and email. The club relies heavily on this type of communication as we are all volunteers so please update this information when registering.

How old does the child have to be to play in the spring?
Child must be at LEAST 3 by the day of registration.

  • Registration clarification: If you have a 3 or 4 year old you will register under the U6 bracket in the GotSoccer program via the link. The system does not have a lower age bracket to choose. This is just a formality. Once you are registered and we begin to form teams we go in and separate all the 3 and 4’s together and the 5 and 6’s together according to age.

Up to what age do you have recreational teams?
LJSC typically does not have recreational teams past u13/u14. The u13/U14 plus teams are usually co-ed as we have to combine players because we don’t have enough players for all girls or all boys. Occassionally, we do have U15/U16 available. Please message the club if you are interested in teams in this age bracket. Board members emails are available on our website.

How are children placed on teams?
Children are placed on a team according to their birth year. To determine age bracket take 2019 and subtract the child’s birth year. (Example 2019 – 2004 birthyear = U15 age division). This is a system implemented by US Soccer rules and regulations.

How long does registration last?
Registration will close on July 5 at midnight.

When does the season start?
First weekend of play is September 7. The season typically runs til the end of April depending on weather of course. The specific schedule will be released by BYSA but not usually until the week before opening play. We do have weekends off from play during spring break and at Easter.

How much is registration?

Are there additional costs?
YES. Every recreational player that is U7 and older, and new to the league this year, must purchase a uniform kit from GotSoccer.com. Uniforms will be shipped to your home. The cost is $60-65 plus shipping depending on sizing. Kit includes two jerseys (home and away), shorts, and one pair of socks. All kits are the same colors for each age division for U7 plus. Please see our uniform tab on our website for what they look like. ONLY players that are U5-U6 will be given a colored, non-numbered jersey that is purchased by the club and is included in registration costs. U5/U6 jerseys will be given to players at an arranged time by coaches before season starts. U5/U6 players must purchase black shorts and socks at the place of their choosing (Academy, Dicks, online).

How do I order my uniform?
Once rosters are made you will be sent a link via EMAIL to purchase the uniform for your child. Rosters are not made til registration closes. You are not allowed to pick jersey numbers as they are pre-assigned. If you are a returning player ONLY and need to purchase extra pieces you can do so thru our Lake Jackson Soccer Club account on GotSoccer.com Returning players are not allowed to change their numbers.

How long can I use my uniform?
Kits purchased in fall of 2018 and spring 2019 will be worn by the club/player through spring of 2020. Please purchase a size that will allow some growth of your child.

Can I get a refund after registering?
LJSC offers a 50% refund until July 5th on registration costs only. Following July 5, we do not offer registration refunds for any circumstances. There is no refund for uniform costs at any time.

How can I volunteer and help the club?
LJSC is always in need of volunteers. When registering your child please note that you are interested in volunteering in some capacity. There is a space to check on the registration page. Someone from the club will contact you before the season starts.
