US Soccer Grassroots Coaching Clinic

The U.S. Soccer Grassroots In-Person License is the first step in the process of obtaining coaching education for that entry level coach and/or for those wishing to pursue a higher license – D, C and beyond.  The grassroots philosophy is a player-centered, experiential learning approach with the instructors taking a holistic view of coaching education.

The course consists of two parts:

• Two-hour classroom: content geared toward the coaches participating in the course with the methodology of the playing format – meaning 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11
• Two-hour field session: content geared toward the player-centered Play- Practice-Play model. The candidate will have an opportunity to work with age-appropriate players and receive feedback/reflection.
